Our passion is to destigmatise the black menopause experience and encourage open and honest intergenerational discussions.
We want to create safe healthy spaces where lived experiences, knowledge, resources and information can be shared.
We are here to give support, guidance, and encouragement
To help ourselves and others to understand and treat with menopausal symptoms, and the physical and emotional rollercoaster of reproductive wellness.
To continue engaging with friends and colleagues across the globe as we learn about their lived experiences and find out tried and tested practical activities and interventions that help treat with menopausal symptoms.

The World Health Organization defines menopause as permanent cessation of menstruation marking the end of a woman’s reproductive years. It translates in Greek as ‘monthly stop’, and in Japanese as ‘renewal years’, evidencing its sociocultural connotations. But it is not only the language that differs, it is attitudes, symptoms, experiences, support and interventions.
Since 2014 we have been exploring and disentangling the black experience so that we can manage our own symptoms, share ideas and practical solutions and support to others, make a difference to the narratives, thoughts and understandings of our experiences.
It is time that our experiences become more visible, are valued, and included in the mainstream.
